There is a frustrating question we all have to answer on a regular basis “What do you do?” A phrase that is so vague but for some reason also feels too targeted, because what it is really asking is “what do you do for money?”. My answer for these past two years has been as vague as the question itself, “I paint.” About fifty percent of the time I catch what I am fishing for and get the response “wow, what do you like to paint?” without correction or hesitation I say “large minimalistic murals that wrap around entire buildings.” In truth, I am simply a house painter, for money that is.
